Tilmicosin (as tilmicosin phosphate) Premix 200 g/kg

FOR VETERINARY USE ONLY / ANTIBIOTIC

For use in swine, feedlot cattle and rabbit feeds only - must be thoroughly mixed in feeds before use.

Indications & Usage
1.Swine: Aid in reducing severity of respiratory disease (SRD) associated with Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae and Pasteurella multocida.
2.Swine: Aid in reducing porcine polyserositis and arthritis associated with Haemophilus parasuis (Glasser's Disease).
3.Beef Cattle: Reduction of bovine respiratory disease (BRD) morbidity associated with Mannheimia haemolytica and Pasteurella multocida.
4.Rabbits: Reduction in severity of respiratory disease caused by Pasteurella multocida.
Responsible Use Note: Use only when clinical BRD is diagnosed in at least 10% of animals, treatment is within the first 45 days of arrival, and limited to 14 consecutive days.
Dosage and Administration

Swine

Indication 1: 1.0 kg of Tilmicosin 20% Premix into 999 kg non-medicated feed (200g activity/tonne) for 21 days.

Indication 2: 2.0 kg of Tilmicosin 20% Premix into 998 kg non-medicated feed (400g activity/tonne) for 21 days.

Beef Cattle Calculation

Target: 12.5 mg/kg body weight/day for 14 days.

1. Amount (mg) = Body weight (kg) x 12.5 mg/kg

2. Concentration in complete diet = Total mg required / Dry Matter Intake (kg)

Example: For a 300kg animal with 6kg intake, use 78.125 kg/tonne in the intermediate mix.

Rabbits

Mix 1 kg Tilmicosin 20% Premix per tonne of feed (200 ppm) for 7 days continuously.

Contraindications & Warnings

Contraindications: Do not use in animals hypersensitive to tilmicosin. Toxic for horses - do not allow equine access.

Withdrawal Periods:

  • Swine: 14 days
  • Cattle: 28 days
  • Rabbits: 4 days

Storage: Store in a cool dry place below 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
